this is the matrix – a passive 8 to 4 channel matrix mixer – 4 of the inputs can be controlled via vactrol gates – simple as that…
the deery – a quad vactrol vca
time’o lite – a quad vc panner
this is time’o lite – a quad voltage controlled panner – it consists of 2 vactrol based hard panners (on/off – style) and 2 mfos cv panners for smooth transition between the channels – both types can be used independently – there’s various controls over speed and direction of panning – cv control over the speed – combination of input channels – quad or stereo out – etc, etc…a fun and versatile machine for spatialization…
lärm no. 4
this is lärm no. 4 – a nand gate based quad oscillator
pitch control is achieved via pots or photo resistors (switchable for each channel) – the oscillators modulate each other but their signals also have separate outputs – 6 rotary switches alter filter settings and can extremely change the sound and interaction of the oscillators – also, the main pitch can be adjusted via external CV – sputtering noise, drones and basic rhythmic patterns are just a few things this little beast can provide…
lärm no. 3
This is lärm no. 3 – a quad distortion audio processor / filter / spatial distributer…

send audio into its 4 channels…distort the signal via a combination of transistor fuzz, diodes and op amps…and either use the photo resistors to distribute the 4 signals spatially or the mini joystick to send 1 or a combination of signals to 4 different speakers…a multitude of distortion types can be selected via switches and driven into insanity via pots…the photo resistors act like simple low pass filters…also, the unit comes with stereo outs and 4 pan pots to place the 4 signals within the stereo field…
VC radio (audiodrome)
one of my favorite modules! this is an AM/FM radio with cv-control over the tuning: amazing random noise and music snippets… especially the AM newscasters and weird bible stations are charming…it has that particular type of radio distortion I like…thx to jakob from audiodrome (denmark) to send me some pcbs…this module can not be purchased…pm me if you are interested in this project, I have a spare pcb!!! also, see below the diy dx-antenna I am using with the a.m. radio section – for better reception…
timbre (NLC)
sonic multiplier (MFOS)
the sonic multiplier is a ring modulator with an internal sine wave oscillator which is a great source for modulating other waveforms…easy build, but a little glitch comes with R46…I replaced it with a 100k pot, found the sweet spot where the oscillator keeps running and then measured that value…(it was not the suggested change to 47k!)…oh and you can also CV the oscillator (2 inputs) and use it seperately…
shnoize – S&H (animodule)
266 random voltage / noise – clone (NLC)
this is a clone of the famous “source of uncertainty” by Mr. B………here called “sauce of unce” (nonlinear circuits – joke) – its a random voltage source, one stepped, one sloped output, which can be triggered by CV/gate signals (or just noise)…there’s also a noise generator (white, grey and pink!!!) on board…great module for random melodies, rhythms, etc…
